Potential Fears Expressed by Residents
More and Faster Moving Cars On Side Streets.
M Street and Wisconsin will flow better -- cars will have
less reason to take side streets.
Paired one-way streets accommodate the same number of cars as
do two-way streets, only all cars are moving in one-direction.
Adding more stop signs so that all street intersections have
them will result in consistency and traffic calming throughout
Georgetown and will further defer cut-through traffic.
Change.
Not all change is bad. Vision and compromise can work wonders.
