Potential Fears Expressed by City

Too Expensive.

• The streets are already being redone. Additional costs do not outweigh the benefits, and other funding sources can be found.

Too Late.

• The project has now grown from 1 to 3 years in length to include all utility upgrades so as to limit future digging. It ought to be possible to include streetscape upgrades in the 1-3 year schedule as well.

Slower Commuter Traffic.

• Traffic patterns can actually be improved. The situation cannot get worse.
